Aluminum Oxide can be used in both wet and dry blasting applications to clean, deburr, etch, and finish things. If you want to scratch the surface of glass, Aluminum Oxide is the best thing to use because it’s more hard than glass. When you use aluminum oxide as a blasting media, it won’t break down as quickly as glass. It also has a longer cycle life than most blast media.
I couldn’t check the grit of the media because I just threw it in the blaster. It looks like it’s the same as other 100 grit media I have. The media is double-bagged and tied with a zip tie in the box, so it can’t fall out. Moisture seems to be building up in my air, but I didn’t see this build up in the gun. As long as it’s not going to a store, it makes sense.
