The cut off saw also has a spindle lock that makes it easy to change the blade.
This isn’t the best Porter Cable tool I’ve ever used, but I still think it’s good. This is one of many problems. The back fence doesn’t line up. You can set it to 90 degrees as many times as you want, but that isn’t a good cut. In order for me to find the true 90, I had to use a square. It took me about 3-4 degrees to find it. Second, the motor will start to smoke a lot when you take long drives. It’s only a few months old, so I’m sure it won’t last long. Do a better job: I’ve seen cheap Harbor Freight cutters do a better job. As a third thing, the fence moves a little, which can let small things get loose from it. This can hurt your blade, as well as anyone else who is in it. Use a riot shield when you use this thing because it might rise and try to hit you. People should have spent less time making it look good and more time making it work. Because it is a light machine for a saw with abrasives, I can only say that so far.
