It was time for me to give up my old set of 18v B&D cordless shop tools after a lot of use. Bought a new set of 20v B&D cordless tools. I didn’t have a Jigsaw in my set, so I had to buy one separately. Today, I needed to cut 3/4-inch PVC, so I put it with my new kit until then. A new blade, a new Jigsaw, a fully charged battery, and about 20 seconds later, the Jigsaw came to a halt. Jigsaw smells like it is on fire. A drill motor I own doesn’t work with the battery that I took out. When I put the battery in the charger, there was a red light that kept on blinking. Jigsaw and battery are out of gas. This means they’re not going to work.
To get the Jigsaw or battery fixed or replaced, I called B&D. I have to pay to send the Jigsaw and battery to a service center. As it turns out, UPS wouldn’t let B&D use my address on the return label. As with my Jigsaw, B&D couldn’t figure out how to get it to or from my address. People at the store were terrible, but the woman I talked to was very nice.
