It’s rare for me to write a review, but this one is different.
On Sunday, my favorite Dremel died.
To find out what was wrong, I took it apart and found that one of the solder connections to the variable speed switch had been broken off.
Because this was so hard to reach, I didn’t bother.
My first thought was to buy another Dremel because I already had some Dremel tools.
Even though I thought the Dremel was great, I was always a little let down by the quality. So I decided to look into other tools.
I looked at all the different brands and models, and I read all the reviews about each one of them, as well.
I chose this Dewalt, and I’m so glad I did. It’s a great tool.
I used it very hard for the first time today.
All I can say is, boy, did I pick the right one.
It’s worth every penny.
If I knew then what I know now, I would pay more for it.
I love the ability to quickly change the color of the text on the screen.
When you change blades, you don’t have to look for and play with an Allen wrench.
As a bonus, all the tools I had for the Dremel worked with the Dewalt, too.
When I buy a new Dewalt battery, I don’t know how long it will last. The fact that the battery can be used with my other Dewalt batteries is a big plus.
A few things I don’t like about the bag:
If you buy Dewalt tools now, instead of a hard case, you get a bag with them.
Dremel’s hard case kept all the blades in order and together.
With the Dewalt, everything is all over the place in the bag, and with a blade attached, the tool only fits diagonally in the bag (and the blade gets caught on the bag’s material).
It’s a great tool, even if you don’t like the bag.
