The Elite SGV sander is a critical component of the 3MTM Clean Sanding system, which includes the SGV tool, Clean Sanding disc pad, and Clean Sanding disc (all of which are sold separately). The system is designed to effectively eliminate dust from the workpiece and surrounding space. It makes use of the inlet air to create its own venturi vacuum, which extracts dust from the work surface and expels it through a large collection port on the back of the tool into a 3MTM filter bag, which can be replaced. How to Make Use of Your Pneumatic Sande.
This tool is designed to be used as a handheld device and is powered by compressed air. The air compressor must be capable of supplying a clean, lubricated air supply at an airflow rate of 17 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM), or 481 liters per minute (LPM), and 90 pounds per square inch (psi) at the tool, which is the point at which the air hose is connected to the tool, when the tool is running and with the level fully depressed when the level is fully depressed. Airline with a maximum length of 25 feet that has been approved for 3/8 inch (10 mm) diameter and the shortest length required for the application is highly recommended (8 m). Please refer to the Instruction Manual for more information on how to connect the tool to your air supply. At 90 psi, the maximum rotational speed is 12,000 rpm.
