BELT CHANGES ARE QUICK AND EASY – The quick release system makes changing the belt a breeze. The belt can also be easily adjusted using the tracking knob.

Miter gauge, 6 in. peel-and-stick sanding disc, and 4 in. x 36 in. sanding belt are among the features, as is the 2-1/4 in. I.D. dust port and an L-shaped steel work stop.

Whoever said, “If you’ve seen one sander, you’ve seen them all,” was completely incorrect. The General International Belt & Disc Sander was designed for versatility, with a tilting aluminum work table that can be adjusted for miter polishing and a 0 to 45 degree tilting aluminum work table. The belt sander measures 16 1/2 inches by 4 7/8 inches and can be used both horizontally and vertically for grinding and polishing flat surfaces.

I’m torn on whether or not to support it. Everything arrived in perfect condition. On time and in good condition.

The only thing that stands out is that it appears to be a refurbished machine.

A few of the photographs show a piece that has been severely chipped and has what appears to be Sharpie applied to cover scratches. There’s nothing else to wear besides that, and I haven’t looked inside yet. (Unfortunately, there are no photos for some reason..

There’s a piece of plastic on the main housing where the disc sander is that’s of questionable quality and engendering that needs to be replaced. Very flimsy and sloppy in construction.

The stop plate on the belt sander could benefit from a simple modification to ensure that it locks into place.

The degree dile does not correspond to or fit the area that has been designated. Simply make use of your triangle.

If the belt moves away from the rollers, it comes to a halt quickly, causing the motor to bog down. High metal sides, but not quite high enough to keep the paper in place.

I was expecting better quality for the money I paid. And I certainly didn’t expect to find used parts. A poor start, and I haven’t even attempted to use it yet.
