The high-capacity line of Clayton sanders has been specifically designed for vacuum sanding, and they are preferred by the United States Military as well as the commercial aerospace industry. It accepts hook and loop or vinyl backup pads with a 5/16″ threaded center stud, which is included with the tool. The dust shroud has been engineered to provide a clear, straight path for the dust to flow through while minimizing turbulence. The tools are small and lightweight, but they are also durable and long-lasting. An innovative patent-pending design in Clayton Sanders allows some of the pressurized incoming air to pass over the bearing housing. This allows for more efficient bearing operation. In addition, the pressurized air keeps dust from getting into the bearings and causing premature wear and tear. All of Clayton’s pneumatic sanders have received CE certification. It is important to note that these sanders require 17 CFM, which may not be available from many consumer compressors. Please make sure that your compressor is capable of delivering 17 CFM at 90 PSI before purchasing it.
