We were replacing some tile in our kitchen, and we had to get the old adhesive off of the subfloor so that we could put new tile down. When I tried to grind it, I knew it would make too much dust in the kitchen. I went to the store and bought one of these for our Rigid 4″ grinder. I made it work. As soon as my husband saw that it would work with the grinder he made it happen in no time. It is a universal fit. Some of the bristles on the dust shield were so hard that the blade was held up too high off the ground. Our diamond blade could have been a little more cupped. In the end, the thing held up just fine. The only thing that didn’t work out so well was the vacuum adapter that came with it. On a vacuum cleaner, it doesn’t go with anything else I already own, so it doesn’t work. It looks about the same size. It has a tapered fit that fits into the dust shield, but it came out as I used it. There are many ways to keep the dust out of the air and into a shop vac. This is one of the best ways to do that.
