The Bosch GWX18V-50PCN 18V EC Brushless Connected-Ready 18V EC Brushless is a connected-ready brushless motor. The X-LOCK mount is included with the 4-1/2 in. – 5 in. Angle Grinder, which provides a wheel change interface that is up to five times faster than conventional interfaces. When mounting an X-LOCK Wheel on an X-LOCK grinder, there is a distinct audible snap to be heard. Without the use of a spanner wrench or flange nuts, the wheel is securely mounted. The wheel is removed from the grinder by pulling a lever on the side of the machine. The EC Brushless motor in the grinder increases efficiency, allowing for longer runtime and higher productivity. When the switch is turned off, the grinder is equipped with an X-Brake, which assists in bringing the wheel to a complete stop. Other advanced electronics, such as drop control, KickBack Control, restart protection, and soft-start technology, are also included. The grinder is connected-ready, as evidenced by the presence of an interface that can be used in conjunction with the optional Bosch Connected Tool Module to connect to the free Bosch Toolbox app as well as the Bluehound system.
It is necessary to use proprietary grinding discs that are extremely expensive. The grinder didn’t even come with a single disc to use with it. Don’t let your money go to waste. Look into wheels for this before making a purchase.
