I’m using it in conjunction with a die grinder and abrasive discs for surface restoration. The first time I tried it, I didn’t apply enough pressure to the hook and loop, and the disc flew off with considerable force. Make sure to press down against a hard surface, wear protective eyewear, and remain vigilant.
Aside from that, the product appears to be of good quality. I was able to resurface several cast iron tool tables in a very short period of time, which was about a quarter of the time it would have taken with an orbital sander.
The backing is firm and works well with pressure across the entire pad surface, and it is also slightly angled to dig into the tough spots when necessary.
