I’ve purchased a total of five pairs of these. The first three pairs were excellent; I would have given them four (or five) stars. Sadly, my most recent two purchases are both unwearable. The tops of these socks should be positioned BELOW the knees. My recently purchased socks, on the other hand, are approximately 3 inches longer and come to mid-knee. For the most part, there was no issue. When I was driving out of town, I wore them for the first time. My right lower leg began to hurt after only 20 minutes of walking. Removing my (thin) outer sock provided some temporary relief. It didn’t bother me at all when I was walking around. When I continued driving, the pain returned almost immediately.
I sought the advice of a medical professional (a registered nurse), who explained that the mid-knee stocking top was preventing blood from flowing to my lower leg, resulting in the pain.

By now, I’ve purchased a number of additional pairs of these. Aside from the sizing issue (they were too long), they were (and continue to be) a good product. This has been the case with all of my more recent purchases. Generally speaking, machine washing in warm water and then drying on a low heat setting has been successful in the majority of cases. Possibly a need to repeat. However, this was insufficient assistance for my most recent product purchase. As a result, after I put on the tops, I roll them down to the proper length each and every time. Fortunately, doing so does not result in them being excessively tight at the top.
