This powerful 15 amp, 6,000 RPM, 3.5 HP sander delivers outstanding performance even in the most demanding applications. This tool can be used as a sander in conjunction with a 7-inch backing pad to remove paint or rust from metal, plastic, or fiberglass surfaces, among other things. Spiral bevel gears are designed to transfer the most torque possible for heavy-duty applications. The spring-loaded recessed spindle lock makes it simple to change out accessories. This tool was originally sold as a sander, but it can be converted to a grinder by purchasing a 7-inch or a 9-inch guard, which can be easily attached to the tool.
