Because I work as a professional finish carpenter, I rely heavily on my firearms. I gave this Senco series a chance because I believed they might have reclaimed some of the glory that Senco once enjoyed. NOPE!!. I still have two old Senco guns from the days when they were still manufactured in the United States of America using high-quality materials, and they continue to function perfectly. You had to pay a lot for them, but they were well worth it. That is no longer the case. I keep this gun around for blind work (something that no one will notice), but that’s all it’s used for. What an unsightly hole it creates in the wood. I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that nearly all of the nail guns currently on the market should be regarded as disposable items at this point. Even if they only last a year, I’ll be content. I’m currently using a DeWalt tool, which cost me half as much as the Senco gun did to purchase. So far (6 months), it has held up its end of the bargain. I’ll be surprised if it survives for more than a year after its initial release. We regret that the airgun manufacturers have all joined in the race to the bottom, but that is where they are at the present time. I despise the entire concept of disposable products, but it appears that this is the world in which we live. I have a good working relationship with the majority of my tools, but I have given up on nail guns completely. I’m in town today. Tomorrow (it will not work or will work in a poor manner). You won’t find this information on Senco’s website, but the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2009 and was later purchased by a venture capital firm. The concept was to take a well-known brand and try to make it even better than it was before. They, in my opinion, failed miserably. In fact, it was very bad. Their firearms may be adequate for the weekend warrior, but they are not adequate for the professional who uses his firearms on a daily basis.
