I used this for a 40 x 60-inch area with a buffer speed of 1800-2200 RPM and a buffer speed of 1800-2200 RPM. Because the pads wore out so quickly, especially the low-grit pads (50-100), and because these grits did not cut well, the pads had to be used more frequently, resulting in increased wear. Once the grit level reached 400, the pads did not wear out as quickly, but the process was still quite slow due to the poor performance. This would be appropriate for something extremely small, and not much more.
