Within the first 30 days, the drill will no longer hammer. For the return shipment to Makita, I paid $112.00 in freight for UPS 3day air from Hawaii. We never heard back from Makita, so I called three weeks later and was told they were waiting for a replacement part. We received the drill back after a month and tested it, finding that the drill stopped hammering after only 2 hours of operation. I called Makita and they told me to send it back, even though I had already paid for freight (another $116.00). I haven’t heard back from Makita yet this time. After 45 days, I was finally able to get my drill back. Makita’s customer service is terrible, and I will never purchase another Makita product again unless I am given it for free.
