The MEDCOS PZ-IO Intraosseous IO Trainer Driver Drill was developed by an American Heart Association Instructor who worked at the University of California, Los Angeles Department of Emergency Medicine. In critically ill patients, obtaining emergency vascular access is a top priority. IO vascular access devices, which are used by doctors, military personnel, paramedics, and registered nurses, are increasingly becoming the first-line of treatment in cardiac arrest patients. As this trend continues to grow, there will be an increased demand for adequate training equipment. Due to the high volume of use by students, MEDCOS has discovered that the available Trainer IO Drivers must be replaced when the battery runs out.
