The SECCO 5″ Concrete Countertop Polishing Package, powered by 110 volts, is the tool of choice for creating a polished surface on concrete countertops. This SECCO wet polisher and 5″ concrete diamond pad set is intended to assist you in polishing your concrete counter top to a high sheen level. Sets of diamond polishing pads are used for polishing purposes. The 50 grit pad will prepare your surface by removing trowel marks, smoothing out rough areas, and exposing light aggregate, among other things. Using the 50 grit pad for shaping edges and removing mold lines is also a good idea. The 100 grit will be followed by the next grit and so on until you reach the final grit, at which point you should have a polished finish. Remember to read any instructions that come with the sealer and coatings you intend to use; you may need to apply your sealer at a specific grit in the polishing process, so be sure to do so before beginning. This unit is equipped with an 800 watt/7 amp motor and a variable speed dial, which can be found on the rear of the grinder for convenience. The speed range of this unit is 1,000 to 4,000 revolutions per minute. The polisher is equipped with a compression fit coupling and comes complete with all of the hoses and connectors required to connect to a standard garden hose. 5/8-11 UNC thread is used on the arbor, which makes it compatible with all 5/8 threaded and non-threaded tools. The SECCO variable speed wet polisher comes with the following accessories. GFCI with integrated circuit protection (operator protector circuit breaker. Safety guard that can be adjusted in all directions with an integrated rubber splash skirt and a bail handle (D handle. Assortment of Wrenche. A variety of arbor nuts for mounting accessories are included in this set. Water line and garden hose adapter for the Carbon Brush Set (additional). 12′ Power Cord for Industrial Us. Water on/off valve with double insulatio. Diffuser for water in a brass arbo.

Poorly written description.

I returned the first Hardin CCPOLSET 5″ without even trying it because it was clearly marked as a WP800 4″ throughout the package and the tool itself. The replacement that was sent was exactly the same as the original. After closer inspection, I discovered that they had simply packaged their 5″ pads with their 4″ tool. The majority of tools designed to run larger pads are geared differently, allowing the RPMs to remain consistent despite the difference in pad size.

Components that are not up to par.

The water connection from the tool to the water hose is a complete joke. What I don’t understand is why anyone would expect it to seal properly. As a result, I was convinced I was missing something, and since it does not come with any kind of manual, it is difficult to say what it was. It is impossible to tighten it enough to make it seal, as shown in the photo.) (See photo..note that the fitting is a type of compression fitting, and you cannot tighten it enough to make it seal..

Obviously, it leaked horribly, so I added a gasket, which did help to partially seal the leak, but the fittings aren’t threaded long enough to be fully tightened, resulting in play at the joints. It should also be noted that the water valve was completely blocked. I couldn’t even get air to flow through it. As a result, the “wet” function was never activated. It was ultimately decided that I would remove everything and allow the water hose to trickle across the countertop. Disappointing.

The power switch, on the other hand, appears to be on its way out. After only 5 hours of use, I’m ready to call it a day.

Apart from this, the handle that comes with it is far too small and the bolts that are included to attach it are approximately one inch too short. Hardin, step up to the plate. The majority of these problems could be resolved with a little quality control.

So why did I bother to give it any starts in the first place.

It did, in fact, work..sort of. And while the tool appears to be a high-quality machine, I believe that it is simply comprised of substandard components. (Switch, valve, handle, connections, and so forth. Even the packaging was of high quality, so it appeared to be promising.

This is not something I would recommend, especially if you are looking for something that will last a long time, because I do not believe this will.
