The 2 1/2″ cap on my Delta 17-901 isn’t a perfect match for the original 2 3/8″ cap on the machine, but it does fit and function without any modification. This is particularly useful because Delta has discontinued the original part, and I’ve had difficulty locating one with a 2 3/8″ cap to replace it.
