When not in use, this canvas sheath will keep your cutting tool safe and protected. I ordered the Zensport nylon sheath in order to carry my newly acquired A.M. Leonard soil knife in a holster. I only sharpened the soil knife to the point where it was usable for harvesting greens, but not so sharp that it was potentially dangerous. Because, despite the fact that the opening has been heavily reinforced with additional nylon, I’m not confident that it will last as long as a leather sheath. In addition, when I insert the soil knife face down, it does not appear to be putting too much strain on the point of entry into the hole. Time will tell whether or not this is true.
