When I’ve used “name brand” nail guns before, they didn’t work well. This one does. A tool that can drive 2″ 18ga brads or staples with ease can be found at most hardware stores. I use it around the house and in the barn with a pancake compressor set to 85psi on the hose. That’s enough air for this thing to work in rapid-fire mode without having any problems. I went through all of the 2,000 screws on my granddaughter’s mud-pie kitchen on two Saturday afternoons. I used new wood and wood that had been used in barns for her project. Brads didn’t go through the lighter knots in the barn wood. Some of the 2″ brad went through the knot for about 1 1/2 inches. Then, about 1 1/2 inches of the brad curled up over the knot. I was very impressed with the brad and the nail gun for what they did. It’s hard to make those lighterd knots, but not as hard as a lighterd knot. There was a knot that I should not have tried to shoot through, but I didn’t pay attention. The next shot was perfect, as were all the ones before and all the ones that came after. They were all good. I should be able to finish many more projects before I have to buy a new pneumatic tool oil. I should give him about 5 to 6 drops of the oil that comes with the tool before each day of use. However, if I had to change it after the one mud-pie kitchen project, I wouldn’t mind. In terms of price, this finish nailer isn’t too bad. So far, it has worked as well as or better than the red or yellow finish nailers I’ve had over the years. I think this is a great tool for anyone who wants to get a project done quickly around the house or farm. I’m very happy so far!
