Surebonder’s glue gun line is the best on the market, and this new “pro” model is ideal for larger projects that require more glue. The low-temperature setting is ideal for craft applications such as bonding styrofoam. With the longer glue sticks, reloading is reduced to an absolute minimum, which is ideal for this application. However, because it makes use of thicker glue sticks, it takes a little longer to heat up (5-10 minutes for optimal performance), but once it does, there is never a problem. A smooth and evenly proportioned trigger, and when you let go, the flow of glue comes to an end – there’s never any leakage. There’s also an on/off switch, which is uncommon in glue guns these days. Furthermore, the nozzle can be removed for cleaning or for use with other tips (not included). The only drawback is the flimsy wire stand that comes with it. One would expect a better stand from a glue gun of this caliber, given that it is prone to tipping over easily.
