As a newcomer to home machining, I’d like to introduce you to Vertex # HV-6.

I purchased the 8-inch table, which only came with three T-slots as well.

Solid and well-constructed, the table provides smooth operation and is an excellent match for my mill. On the other hand, I have not yet dialed it in on the mill.

Was curious as to why the zero reference location appears to be aligned with anything other than the t-slot locations.

“Zero” is located 5 to 7 degrees off the vertical mounting surface, and the zero ref point does not adjust that far from the vertical mounting surface.

Attaching a zero ref bar to the plate is more difficult than it should be, especially with only three slots. It is still possible, but it appears to be more difficult than it should be.
