I’ve had a few opportunities to use it for a variety of tasks, including scraping glue from old flooring up, plunge cutting hardwood flooring for patches, trimming electrical box holes in drywall, nail and screw cutoff, and fitting crown molding boards into tight spaces. It has proven to be a very versatile tool.
The disadvantage is that the blades are not inexpensive, and I have discovered that they are almost entirely single-use products (depending on what you are cutting). The tool does vibrate a little, but it’s not a big deal; you just have to let it do its job. I was attempting to force it and went too fast or pushed too hard, causing it to smoke instead of cutting through the air. Slow and steady wins the race every time. Even on old oak flooring, this is true.
I have a plethora of Milwaukee m18 and fuel tools, and I have never been disappointed with them.
