Works about as well or strong as the older model, but it’s a lot lighter. The next day after I bought the $200 Drill and Impact Driver kit with a charger and two batteries, I got the new one. The old gearbox must have been broken. Some of the other parts may also be worn. Parts Direct has them. It looks like they built a 52-foot deck, a lot of floors in the house and attic, and every shelf and other thing that needs to be put up since 2014.
