This is an extremely capable machine. Does an excellent job for the price. This is especially true if you don’t have the space for a large belt sander in your shop. The heavier W-weight sanding belts, on the other hand, will not fit the machine. Because the lower portion of the guard is so close to the drive wheel, they will be able to catch up with them. However, with a few simple modifications to the machine, it will be able to accommodate the wider belts. You’ll need to remove a small section of the guard near the drive wheel at the bottom of the guard, being careful not to cut into any vital components. With this modification, you will be able to accommodate the larger belts. I really like the machine, and it’s a fantastic value for the money.
