First and foremost, I must emphasize that this machine is extremely well constructed, with solid plate steel construction and full welds throughout. It took two people less than two hours to put it together despite the fact that the instructions are difficult to follow and some tasks would be easier if done in a different order. Make sure to arrange all of the nuts and bolts in a logical manner. The fact that I discovered some that were hidden in fittings made everything more obvious when they were discovered. Obviously, the hose clamps should be larger and stronger, but that is a minor detail to consider here. The oil filter is also a source of concern because it is using the painted surface to seal against the gasket, but it is not leaking yet.
On the first day of operation, the performance is comparable to that of the 34 ton competitor’s model, which costs approximately the same amount. One of the things I like about this vehicle is that it has a Honda engine, which I know will start with one pull every time. The Briggs & Stratton engine that powered the unit it replaced was not always easy to maintain. In addition, sheet metal pieces that were easily bent were used in the log tray area of the competition. The log tray on this machine appears to be strong enough to support the weight of a dump truck while it is parked on it without bending.
In addition, the company’s customer service is excellent. I was having fitment issues, and one phone call gave me hope that it was simply a matter of lightly sanding some minor scratches out of the surface. Moreover, they confirmed to me that they would send me a replacement part as soon as possible, even if it was extremely large and heavy.
In general, I am extremely pleased.
