The bottom of the case had a small dent in it when it arrived, but it was not a big deal. When I opened the case, I noticed that the blades had been used, despite the fact that the tool was clean and well-packaged (see picture). The footplate of the tool had marks from previous use, indicating that it had been used.
Aside from the fact that it was an old tool, I was able to use it to channel the 5 feet of block that I needed it to channel.
