Because I bought this rotary tool in 1996, I’ve used the same brand for more than 20 years. This one was on sale on Black Friday with all of the attachments and a case. I thought I’d give it a try. There is a big difference in the size. It’s very big. When I used to have this tool, it was about 1/3 bigger than my old one. Because it’s big and strong and runs smoothly on ball bearings, this machine is great for a lot of different things. Another thing that comes with the tool body is a hand wand attachment, which makes the tool less awkward because it’s so big. The hand wand is better when it comes to getting the job done right. Also, there are a lot of attachments and a lot of small parts. I’ve used a few of these and I’m happy with how well they work. To my surprise, a pink grinding bit held up well to a steel bolt and nut when I used the tool to grind them down. I thought that would eat the little grinding piece and send it flying in pieces. But it did a good job. Surprised: I was happy to see that.
In general, the case isn’t anything to write home about, but it helps keep all the parts together.
