A few days ago I bought the Black+Decker LD120VA drill/driver during Prime Day, and then I thought I needed a case for it. It doesn’t matter that this case is for another model, because it fits the LD120VA and all the other things that come with it just fine for me. The case itself looks good. It’s simple but does what it needs to, and it’s strong.
It doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of attention. The case smells bad. I’m telling the truth. I’m not super sensitive to most smells, and usually when I see people complain in reviews about products smelling like bad plastic/rubber, I don’t really register those complaints because I generally don’t find it to be the case when I get the item. But holy cow, let me tell you that this case smells bad. So bad that you can smell it through the plastic, even though it’s made of plastic. So bad that other items in your box will also smell bad (luckily the other item was double bagged and the odor didn’t permeate through the second plastic bag!). So bad that when you spray it with a deodorizing spray and leave it over night, it doesn’t do anything. The first time I got the case, I thought maybe it had been left somewhere where someone was smoking because it stinks heavily of secondhand smoke. I returned it in case it was a fluke and bought the case again. Nope, the second case smells exactly the same. I can only conclude that the case itself just smells like this because of the material it’s made of. Back to Amazon it goes :.
In conclusion, this is a good case that fits my new drill but it smells terrible and I had to return it. Twice. Purchase at your own risk!
