It took me a long time to find all of the different big brands. The red guys who make a big deal about their batteries. The yellow clad mercenaries. The ones that are green. They’re all of them.
None of them can match this level of torque in such a small package. The red guys are the clear and present danger in this area.. I’m not sure why this is happening. This Metabo has 12 torque settings, whereas the competition only has 2-3 settings. The Metabo has more than 300 ft lbs of torque, thanks to the new technology battery that comes with the machine. Another interesting feature is that the lights turn on when it detects that it has been picked up. After that, you can stay for a while longer.
I put this to the test by removing the lug nuts from my wife’s Land Cruiser. This Metabo doesn’t have a problem with it. In less than 2 seconds, the lug nuts were removed from the wheels. This device is incredible. The other day, I saw a video on YouTube of someone disassembling his old Toyota 4Runner while changing the timing belt. Typically, a large impact will not fit, and you will be forced to move the timing and use a massive cheater bar. The bolts were removed in a jiffy. Extremely quickly.
The batteries can be recharged in approximately 30 minutes. Furthermore, the batteries are equipped with indicator lights that tell you how much life is left in them.
In a tool of this size and compactness, you will not find a tool with this much torque. When compared to the closest competitor (the red one), the red one has 80ft lb less torque. It was an obvious choice.
