This Sawzall (2621-20) performs admirably for a little less than 15 minutes of runtime before the battery runs out of power. This sawzall has the same amount of power as my friend’s corded Milwaukee Sawzall, and the battery allows it to run at full strength until it dies, but I can drain the battery more quickly than I can recharge it in a second. Specifically, the M18 Red Lithium XC extended runtime (48-11-1828) battery that came with it is what I’m using.
Unfortunately, it appears that battery-operated tools have not progressed as much as their marketing would have you believe they have.
If you only plan on making a few cuts at a time, this is an excellent tool to have on hand. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver. Stick with the corded version of the Milwaukee if you’re buying it because it’s marketed as “Nothing But Heavy Duty” and you’re planning on doing anything other than a small job with it — you’ll save money and be much happier with it in the long run.
