When comparing this product to what I was previously using, which was the Craftsman brand sandpaper, I was extremely impressed with the results. Premature belt breakage was a problem with the Craftsman brand of sandpaper, and because I was attempting to strip paint, it appeared that the belts would become caked up to the point where they were simply melting the paint off within a few minutes of use.
That prompted me to experiment with something different, and I ended up ordering this for my Craftsman belt sander, which I purchased from Lowe’s. I discovered that the performance of this belt was significantly superior to that of the Craftsman belt. No breakage occurred, and the paint did not take up nearly as much as it could have, making it more difficult to strip with a sanding block. When you consider that this sandpaper is a significantly better value, I can’t say anything other than that it is excellent and that I will no longer be purchasing Craftsman belts and paper.
