The aluminum table reduces the overall weight of the tool, making it easier to transport. It is recommended that a Kobalt 24-volt max 6.0 Ah Li-ion battery be used with this tool in order to achieve maximum performance. Batteries and chargers are available for purchase separately. At 90°, the depth of cut equals 2 x 10; at 45° (left/right miter), the depth equals 2 x 6; at 45° (left bevel), the depth equals 2 x 10; and at 45° (right bevel), the depth equals 1 x 10. Miter cuts with the maximum angle (degrees): left and right = 48°, and miter cuts with the maximum angle (degrees): right = 46°; left = 48.
It may be small, but it competes on an equal footing with the big boys. When it comes to torque and power, this saw can hold its own against the competition. I’ve used larger saws in the past, but they couldn’t accomplish as much as I can with this saw. The accuracy was spot on right out of the box, which was impressive. On this device, the battery appears to last indefinitely. Overall, this saw is a fantastic “little” saw. I would highly recommend it to any carpenter, regardless of their skill level.
