I thought I had gotten a great deal because it was a cordless brushless miter saw that was 40% off. I was wrong. It turned out that I had inadvertently received the previous reviewers’ returned item. The box had been taped up twice before being sealed. There was no battery or charger available.
Waiting for an exchange with batteries, after which I will update the review. Edited.
So far, the saw appears to be cutting well with a 2 Ah battery from my other JCB drill, which is equipped with saw brakes.
2nd edit: I received the replacement and discovered that it was missing a 5Ah battery and charger. For the price I paid, I intend to keep it and use it in conjunction with the 2Ah batteries from other drills and tools. It worked perfectly with a 2Ah battery. I like the electric brake because it allows me to come to a complete stop as soon as the trigger is released. Their drills and saws are also very good for the price they are offered. It’s a shame about this saw because it had the potential to be an extremely pleasant purchase.
