After living in Milwalkee for 30 years, this is the first time I’ve moved. I bought this because of its reputed power, small size, and balance. Chuck didn’t ever lock. Under stress, the drill bit kept sliding. Finally, the chuck wouldn’t open. A wrench was used to open it. It never closed again. It stayed open all the time. Had to throw it away. However, I thought I was the one in a million who had bad luck, so I tried the DWD 112 and didn’t say a word. If this one shocks me, it needs to be sent back for a fix, but no one has been killed yet. I have to throw both in the trash. I bought this on the internet and I live in the West Indies, where this item was bought from. For me, it will cost more to send this back to the United States and get it fixed there than to buy a new one. A refund should be given to me for both of my drills, I think. It will be my second choice if I can find a replacement for the DWD 115 that works. It was exactly what I was looking for, only to discover that the one I received was not up to par. This has been a terrible Dewalt experience. I have two brand new drills that are completely useless.
