A 20v hammer drill and driver are two of the DeWalt tools that I own. I also own 12v and 20v tools. Most of the time, I use my old DCD710 12v drill and DCF813 driver because they work well and are easier to use than the 20v versions. As of now, the new 12v models are smaller, lighter, and more powerful than the old ones, and so far, they have worked well. The chuck on the drill works well, grips the bit nicely, and doesn’t wobble. The driver bits fit in and pop out when you need to change bits. I especially like the different torque settings on the driver, which makes it easier to drive small screws. The work light on the drill is also a good thing. Think my 20v hammer drill and driver will get less use. My only complaint about the 12v line is that the battery life can be a little short, especially with the reciprocating saw. I think the new 2AH batteries will be better.

People are excited about a new brushless 12v reciprocating saw.
