This is a 6-pack of extra-wide variable Pitch air Recip saw blades with 14/18 TPI. Ingersoll Rand Bi-Metal saw blades improve overall cutting speed. When you use bi-metal technology, high speed steel is put on both sides of a backing material. This increases the blade contact area by 170 percent, which makes it easier to cut. This, along with a new tooth profile that makes smaller, but more chips, reduces the Frictional heat that is created during the cutting process, which will make the blade work better in the long run. This is the first time I’ve used jigsaw blades to cut aluminum, but these work. I was given two different types of blades by two different companies to start cutting out 1/4 inch aluminum for my project. There was nothing wrong with them. They just didn’t cut for long before they broke. It took me three Ingersoll Rand blades to finish my project, which was a lot more than the other brands of blades did. I bought five of them.
