This drum sander set comes with 360 pieces of sanding bands and 24 pieces of sanding drum mandrel.
An important accessory: These 6 grits come with these rotary sanding brands, and they come in three sizes: 1/2, 1 and 1-1/4 inches. They each have 6 different types of grains and 3 different diameters “3/8” and 1/4. Each grit and size comes with 20 sanding bands that you can use for your own projects.
In total, there are 24 mandrels that can be used again and again. They come in three sizes: 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4 “Each size has eight pieces. All rotary tools, like the Dremel, can use the same size.
Make sure the drum is screwed down firmly. Make sure the drum mandrels have self-expanding rubber cushions, which keep the sanding bands close to the mandrel and improve the finish. It’s important that you wear professional safety glasses to protect your eyes when the sanding drum is moving at high speed. There might be flying grits.
The most common and standard size drum sander set that can be used to smooth surfaces and curved edges, polish both soft and hard materials, like home improvement, art, woodwork, and other DIY finishing and working.
The quality of these sanding drums is just not good enough. When I was working, the drums would come apart very quickly, sometimes in less than 15 seconds. I thought these drums would be the same as drums made by Dremel, but I was very disappointed. It was very rare for the drums made by Dremel to come apart. Many times, before sandpaper was even used, the Austor brand would come apart before the glue had even dried. It took me about 30 minutes to go through most of the drums that were that big.
