“My Harbor Freight abrasive wheels have holes either too big or toosmall for my Harbor Freight 4” angle grinder. My grinder uses wheels that has a round raised area in the center of the wheel and the grinder has a bowl that fits over the raised center to hold it frimly centered and in place. The middle part is at least 3mm smaller and it can’t be centered, and the end part IS 5/8ths, but only at the outermost part of the threads, so maybe I can use it after I enlarge the hole in a tbick washer to 5/8 to lift the wheel out of the narrow middle part, but otoh on the outermost part, the spaces between the threads are so big that I think the wheel will still move some around and it may be impossible to tighten it with the wheel centered.
To date, every one I’ve had held cutoff discs quite well by simply putting on the outer retainer backward. Looks like they’ve dumped their whole line of angle grinders and haveall new models and accessories, was just on their web site. Closestthing they’ve got is the “Type 1 wheel adapter” now.
On my big angle grinder the blade is loose between the holder. Tight I tighten it the blade still spins freely between the holders. I’m assuming this isn’t normal but I don’t know what to do about it.
