I haven’t had a chance to use this wonderful thing yet, but I’ve already been impressed by its size.
For such a low price, I thought I should get something of Hazard Fraught quality. I didn’t expect to get this heavy, thick piece of equipment while I was at work. By the time she got home from work, she had consumed a lot of caramel macchiatos and cans of Monster, but she did manage to drag the can a few feet inside the front door. I don’t know how many cans of Monster or caramel macchiatos she had already had.
I’ve heard of people welding extra reinforcements to their bead rollers to make them less prone to flexing. I may do that at some point, but I can’t imagine how much force would be needed to move a piece of metal this thick. The handle looks good, but I might need to buy longer arms or a motor kit if I want to bead something very big. Besides the set of dies that came with it, they were all lightly coated in schmoo to keep them from getting rusty.
That shiny full-color catalog in the box is the only thing I haven’t been happy with so far. The wife thinks I should spend my hard-earned money on things like food and mortgage payments, but now I have a whole new list of things I’d rather spend it on.
