In order to restore boats and polish the parts I can’t reach with a 9 inch buffer, I bought this kit. There’s also the machine itself. I think it’s great. There are times when the on/off switch can be a pain to use because of where it is and the fact that you must slide the switch to turn on and lock it. Then, when the right compounds are used, it does a great job. In terms of the pads, I don’t have any problems with them. They don’t fly away. Because they can be washed and reused. It’s the flex shaft. In the first five minutes of use, the thing broke down. This tool is used more often than my Makita Buffer when I work on boats. You’ll need to look for a more durable flex shaft if you use it often.
