Well this saw will never be able to handle anything over the 6 inches that it now cuts(struggling the whole time)I have a new blade on the saw from Highlands made for the woodturner and it cuts ok when pushing straight into the blade but the slightest turn seems to slow or stop the blade. You can turn the saw on, and use a sharpening stone to smooth the BACK edges of the blade. AspxI have the tension up to where the blade moves with and firm finger push about 1/8 inch.
