I don’t do much curved work because I don’t have a band saw and my cheap jigsaws tough to work with. I want to be able to resaw though especially for marquetry stuff, and make my own inlays. I really do not enjoy milling wood at all and I like the convenience factor of a jointer planer combo.
I have a fairly decent set of tools so far but Im looking at purchasing the “Anchors” of the shop, mainly the Planer, Jointer, and Bandsaw. Id also like to delve into rough lumber hence the Jointer and Planer. “Also the planer Jointer combo is out because of cost because if I would buy one it’d be a 12”.
If you are not sure between the BS and the Jointer, maybe you do not need them either :). “By looking at your projects, I’d say you could use a jointer, I picked up the Laguna 6” and could not be happier,Them carbide heads will last me a life time! “Thanks for all the advice.
