Diamond Flexible Dry polishing pads come in a set of 7 with a Rubber Backer with a 5/8″-11 thread.
The polishing pads have a diameter of 4″ (100mm), a thickness of 1.5mm, and grits of 50,100,200,400,800,1500,3000.
It has a rubber body, a 5/8″-11 thread, and a recommended speed of 2500RPM. It can hold up to 4000RPM.
Flexible: Useful for polishing different shapes.
Dry polishing, which means working without water, is easier and cleaner.
I don’t think anyone should do this. It took about five minutes of on and off sanding for the backer pad to come apart. The Velcro on the backer pad came off, and rubber pieces flew all over the place. Because the Velcro was still on the sanding pad, it hit the side of my house, causing it to break. A good thing happened to me because I was wearing eye protection. The small bits of plastic that flew at me bounced off them and the disk didn’t hit my head. Scary.
