So far, I’m very happy with the kit. These are the XR tools, which are made to work. A lot of tools are cheap, but you will have to pay for extra batteries. Pros.
A very powerful impact driver that can drive anything I can find an Apex for is a big deal. Tapcons, 4 inch screws, nuts and bolts, and so on are some of the things you can buy.
There is so much torx in the 3 speed drill that I need to wear gloves when I change bits and drills. I don’t put gloves on.
One of the tools is a grinder. If you want to cut concrete with a cutting wheel, you can only use this tool for that. A 5AH battery would be the best choice for this thing. 3AH or 4AH batteries don’t give you enough time to work with this thing.
They are made of durable canvas and have rough handles and straps. The bag has a hard bottom. It’s a big improvement over the hard cases. It doesn’t make sense to keep tools in a box because they can take a beating.
Sawsall is a good improvement over the old saws because it feels good in your hand and is very easy to move.
Cons.
Skillsaw. Neither do I love nor hate it. The 18v felt better than this one. It just looks like DeWalt added a lot of extra guards and other things that aren’t needed for the tool to work, so it doesn’t work.
Light. People should just get rid of that. This isn’t a tool.
The only thing that would be bad about the impact driver and drill would be the belt hook. They need to think about how to make that better. I took them off because they get caught on things and make it hard to move.
Separately, this was also done.
The oscillating tool is very light, and it is very easy to keep the blade in place. Very well thought-out. Worth it.
Jigsaws have come a long way since the old ones. I don’t use them as much as I used to because they are so much better.
Work fan is also a good buy.
