Buy EX 2080 Xtreme Xtension Professional Router Bit/Collet Extension by Router Technologies

A 1/4 to 1/2 adapter and a hex key come with the package. You can use it with any router table or lift to get the height and convenience you want.

It doesn’t move as much with a short length and a big body, like with other extensions.

Dynamically balanced and made of fatigue-resistant steel lets you run bigger cutters.

With a quick 1/4 turn of the wrench, you can quickly change cutters from above the table.

Forget about having to look for your spindle lock again. You don’t even need tools to change the bits again.

There is a Manufacturer.

In this case, this is a professional extension for 1/2-inch collet router bits.

A Dewalt 621 table-mounted router worked great when it was new with this tool on it. The allen bolt is hard to get to because my lift doesn’t raise the collet above the table. However, it was easier than using the spanner on the collet every time.

I have a lot of problems with runout (or whiplash) with 1/4″ shank bits that I use a lot. Many times as much as possible. The vibration is so bad that it hurt.

The insert for 1/4″ shanks doesn’t seem to work well.

When I used a 1/4″ shank on the extension body, I got it to within.002″ runout. When I used a 1/4″ shank on the extension body, I got it to within.01″ runout. This is enough to see with your own eyes.

For now, I’m going to use my old collets because I mostly use 1/4″ bits. I would like to find a way to solve this problem. It would be great if the manufacturer could give us some information about this.
