The first thing I’d like to say is that Amazon is great. It’s not great, wonderful, good, or even okay. In general, I was very pleased with the finish on the piece of poplar I ran through the machine. It had some snipe at the ends, but I worked at a cabinet factory where I cut material a little long, so I’m used to it. My first board for this project is a piece of spruce that is 3/4 thick and 1 1/4 wide. I made four passes with the machine before it started making a grinding noise from the motor and vibrating the entire workbench so hard that it knocked tools off the wall. It also had that wonderful smell that we all know when a motor burns out. When it was running for about five minutes, this is what it looked lik. Amazon was very easy to work with because I had a 30-day return policy. I would recommend that you open the box right away and run the machine for a few hours so that when it burns up or explodes, you can return this one, get your money back, and buy a different brand like I am going to.
