I got my nail gun kit on February 25, 2019. I got 200 2x6x10 boards in March 2019. When I opened up my Freeman nail gun, I followed the directions and tried setting nails in a 2×4 pine board into a 4×4 PT board as a test.
Left a 1/4 inch of nail above the board. As far as it would go, I turned up my compressor to 100 PSI and adjusted the tool as far as it would go. Still, about 1/8 of an inch of nail is sticking out above the surface of the board.
The crew is coming tomorrow to build my two-by-six-by-10-foot walls and stand them. Now I need to rent a nail gun that can do the job. A two-day rental will pay for this fake nail gun I bought.
I have a lot of the Freeman 3-1/4″ nails that were not cheap, but I have a lot.
I can’t get rid of this thing because I bought it in February and haven’t used it yet, so I didn’t have time to return it.
