My service truck has a 3/8″ air hose that I use to run all of my air tools. I’ve added a second 1/2″ hose just for this thing. It works great. A 3/4″ hose is what Ingersoll says this impact needs, but I’m not sure how my compressor would be able to keep up with that many hoses at one time. I’d say that with the 1/2″ hose, I’m still getting 99.999% of this effect on torque, though. If you compare this gun to other guns that have 1″ impacts in the same class, it’s very light. I also like that I can move the handle to any position I need for the job. As far as I can tell, I think this gun is even better than my Milwaukee fuel 3/4 impact tool. My Ingersoll air tools and my Milwaukee M18 battery tools are the best. All the way around, the Ingersoll Rand 2850max is a 5 star tool!!!
