I’m a big fan of Milwaukee tools. Many of the M18 tools I own were bought years ago. I recently bought this kit to help with a second home in another state. A good build and good ergonomics are what I’m used to. Some of the tools I’ve been using haven’t worked well for me. The grinder is the worst. For the first 20 minutes I used it, I used it to grind the finish off a table. The thing was so hot I could not hold it. To cool down the project, I took a break and let it cool down overnight. When I came back the next morning, the project was still too hot to hold in 20 minutes. There were only a few minutes of use on my third try, and now the tool is dead. Then, when I was working with the hand drill, I saw the same thing. Things get so hot that I have to wear gloves to use them. After only a few days of using these tools, I’m sure there’s something very different about the way they were made compared to other tools I bought a year or two ago. Do different companies do the contracting. Cutting costs. People don’t like how things turned out. This is the first time I’ll be calling their service center. I need to get my grinder fixed. When I get back, I’ll let you know.
